Our Ceramic Coating Process

Ceramic Coatings are defined as products containing SiO2 (Silica Dioxide) There are hundreds of these products on the market. Most over the counter blends contain 2-5% SiO2 and last around 3 months. Professional blends range from 20-70% and last from 1-5 years. I refer to SiO2 only products as “Top Coats”. When SiO2 is blended with TiO2 (Titanium Dioxide) it forms a “Hard Coating” that is more permanent in nature.

They are the nano-ceramic coating that forms a permanent adhesion to the paint and can only be removed through abrasion like sanding or heavy cut compound. No chemical can dissolve a high quality “Hard Coating”.

Hardness is measured on the Mohs Scale, or pencil hardness scale (e.g. #2 pencil). Your vehicles clear coat is an average of a 3H in hardness. Our “Hard Coatings” (which is a true ceramic coating to me) provide between a 5H and a 9H in hardness. Up to 3 times harder than your clear coat!

Our Ceramic Coatings are the most complete and durable protective coatings in the automotive industry! It is a permanent nano ceramic coating that is like putting a flexible glass table top around your car! The glass shield prevents minor scratches and other forms of marring, corrosion and damage to your clearcoat. It minimizes aging and protects your vehicle from UV, oxidation, bird droppings, bug impacts, sap and tar. It acts as a sacrificial layer!

Plus the hydrophobic properties of the SiO2 allow for ease of maintenance. Fewer contaminates will bond to the surface of the coating. This allows for faster and easier cleaning. The self-cleaning properties will also keep your car looking clean longer than a traditional wax or sealant.
